1. Collection of general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar information. The data is collected as anonymous data and none of these data allows any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content you have requested from websites and is required when using the internet. We statistically evaluate anonymous information of this kind to optimise our internet profile and the technology behind it.

2. Disclosure, correction, deletion or limitation of processing of personal data
You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by us at any time and, if necessary, to correction, restriction of processing or the prescribed data storage for business transactions. You also have the right to delete your personal data unless this is contrary to legal requirements or contrary to the fulfilment of contracts. In addition, you have the right to appeal to an authority.

You can revoke your consent by notifying us accordingly, with future effect.

3. Purposes of data processing undertaken by the controller and third parties
We process your personal data only for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

  • You have given your explicit consent
  • Processing is necessary to conclude a contract with you
  • The processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation
  • The processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data
  • The forwarding within the DFS Group is necessary to fulfil the purpose

4. Deletion of data, duration of storage
We adhere to the principles of storage limitation. We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by law. After the purpose has been achieved or these periods have expired, the data will be blocked or deleted as a routine matter and in accordance with legal provisions.

If it is in the sense of our customers and with knowledge of the person concerned, and/or a justified interest of DFS Aviation Services Bahrain is present, personal data are processed if necessary longer, or until revocation by the person concerned.

Application documents are kept for six months and will be destroyed then. Your data will only be stored in our applicant pool for a longer period at your express request. Oral statements cannot be considered because accountability must be demonstrated (General Data Protection Regulation 5(2)).

5. Cookies
Like most websites, we also use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. As a result, we automatically receive certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to make navigation easier for you and enable our websites to be displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are typically set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time in your browser settings. Use the help function of your internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that some features of our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

6. SSL encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

7. Contact form or e-mail
Please contact us if you have any questions via e-mail or contact form. The fields marked with an asterisk in the form are required. These are used to categorise the request and then reply to it. The information you provide will only be stored for processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

8. Use of Google Fonts
To display our contents correctly and in an appealing design on all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries, e.g. Google Fonts. Google Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Accessing script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible - but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes - that operators of such libraries collect data. Click here to read the privacy policy of the library operator Google.

9. Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical data. When using Google Maps, Google collects, processes and uses data about the use of map functions by users. You can find more information about Google's data processing in Google's Privacy Policy. You can change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre. Detailed instructions for managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

10. Social plugins

Nature and purpose of the processing:
On our website we offer the possibility of using so-called "social media buttons". To protect your data, we use the "Shariff" solution during implementation. This means that these buttons on the website are only integrated as a graphic, which contains a link to the corresponding website of the button provider. By clicking on the graphic you will be forwarded to the services of the respective provider. Only then your data will be sent to the respective providers. If you do not click on the graphic, there will be no data exchange between you and the social network providers. Information about the collection and use of your data in the social networks can be found in the respective terms of use of the respective providers.

More information about the Shariff solution can be found on the website of the original Githup project.

We have included the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:

Twitter
Twitter, Inc.
1355 Market Street, Suite 900

Linkedin

11. Changes to our data protection provisions
We reserve the right to adapt this data protection policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection policy will then apply the next time you access our site.

12. Questions on data protection
If you have any questions about data protection, please contact the our data protection officers.
